Thumbtack.com is looking for individuals who can work full time, minimum of 40 hours per week, and who can work during graveyard hours (11:00 pm to 8:00 am PHILIPPINE TIME) if requested to do non-voice customer-service-related tasks. (Please do not apply if you do not have the availability to work at least 40 hours per week.) We are looking for individuals who are committed to work, fast learners, and open to learn new things. You have to have a good grasp of English language. You need to have strong analytic skills and logic to be able to fit in this position. You need to have the ability to understand complicated instructions. This is a SHORT-TERM engagement, probably a 2-month project with potential to be extended depending on the availability of work units.


Thumbtack.com is an online marketplace for local services in the United States. It allows service providers and consumers to find each other and negotiate jobs online. Thumbtack has a large database of service providers, offering a wide variety of services like handyman services, house cleaning, wedding videography, photography, tutorials, construction services, carpentry, and a lot lot more.

Since Thumbtack is where you can find thousands of service providers, customers use this site to find local service providers for various jobs they need to have completed. A mom looking for a baby sitter, a bride looking for a gown maker, a model looking for a photographer, etc. All of these are customers who go to Thumbtack to post their request for the services that they need.

In summary, Thumbtack has two purposes:

1.) To give a place for service providers to market themselves/their services online. Posting an ad on Thumbtack will make their listing appear on the web when somebody searches for the services that they offer. Thumbtack strives hard to make all the Thumbtack service listings rank high on Google.

2.) To give a place for consumers who need help/service from our service providers find them and contact them online with less hustle.

Thousands of consumers are visiting the site monthly to request for the services that they need. Thumbtack has a team, called Request Ad Syndication team, that handles these requests. Their role is to help those requesters find the service professionals that they need -- this is called "syndication". Syndication is the process of matching each request (for service) to the appropriate service providers who can do the job.

Syndicators have the following tasks: 1. make sure the Request is appropriate for syndication to our database of service providers, 2. make sure the Request is properly edited for syndication (appropriate language + proper travel preferences), and 3. make sure we syndicate the Request to all the appropriate service professionals available on our database.

Since Thumbtack is growing so fast, more and more requests are also coming each day, and more people are needed to cover 24/7 requests syndication operation and to be able to syndicate requests at the lowest delay time possible. What we are looking for are contractors who have the following qualifications:

* able to work graveyard (if requested to), but work is actually flexitime and unlitime
* customer-service oriented
* good grasp of English language (especially written English)
* can easily understand and follow complicated guidelines and instructions
* have good analytic and judgement skills
* attention to details
* strong interpersonal, time management, and problem solving skills
* internet research and navigation skills
* availability of at least 40 hours per week
* has a very fast and reliable internet connection - Prepaid dongles are unreliable and not recommended for this job.
* willing to work for different shifts and schedules
* positive, happy people
* honest (very important)

The starting rate for this job is $1.50/hour. Rate will increase depending on your performance.

Short-listed applicants will be hired on a $10 fixed-priced contract for training and examinations. The applicants who will pass will then be hired on a $1.50/hr contract.
