My preferred hours are 9am-Noon, Pacific Coast Time, and ideally looking for someone available those hours.
I built a capable PC ($2200) and need to run Blackmagic video editing / compositing software on Linux. I can mostly get around on the GUI but have only limited command line experience. I have Neon installed and running (UEFI). I'd like to outsource the expertise to setup and install two Blackmagic applications - Davinci Resolve and Fusion. These two are supported by Blackmagic on CentOS, and if needed I will run them on that installation. But my preference would be to make KDE Neon my main / home distribution, and run these two programs there. Others have had mixed success installing the programs on other distros. I'd also need to install some hardware, migrate my home folder from OS X, and have help available to troubleshoot (and with video editing there will inevitably be issues).
I'd like to find someone very familiar with remote access software such as Teamviewer or Anydesk, something where I can watch the terminal. I would not be comfortable with SSH as I'd be blind to the terminal window. Ideally we could also communicate through an audio channel though I haven't been able to get voice communication on Upwork working yet.
I am on a budget but am also looking for the kind of expertise that can read logs and troubleshoot effectively. So a higher hourly rate that was, long-term, more price-effective could well be worth it. Should you be interested, please let me know. Thank you.
