We are looking for 100 Android source code project that can be built and run in order to test an automatic build system for Android apps.
Please find projects that can be built in Android Studio from sites such as Github/Fossdroid and follow the following four steps:
1. Please build Android apps from public sources such as Github/Fossdroid using two methods:
1-1. Look for sources in the Android Studio project file format.
1-2. Use the Run button in Android Studio to build and run the app in an emulator.
1-2-1. Also check whether it runs with a change to project structure or build.gradle. There is no need to change the source code.
1-3. Use the CLI tool gradlew to build and check if it runs.
1-3-1. Also check whether it runs with a change to build.gradle or other setting file. There is no need to change the source code.
1-4. Input whether the app runs or not in the sheet in 3.
1-5. Projects that have been forked do not count. Make sure that you are only using unique apps.
1-6. Run the APK created Android Emulator and take a screenshot.
2. One screenshot is enough. Do not use screenshots that have been made public.
Make sure to take a screenshot of the app running on your own screen.
3. Input where you got the source code, the name of the app, a simple explanation of the app, whether the Android Studio build ran or not, whether the gradle build ran or not, any changes made in step 1-5, and the filename of the screenshot in a Google spreadsheet.
4. Compress the screenshot into a compressed file and send it to us.
Make sure to find 100 apps that can run.
Apps that cannot run will not be counted.
