We are seeking someone to write the Show Notes for our weekly podcast, "Perpetual Traffic." Currently, this is a one time job but has the potential to turn into a weekly need. The project will take 2-4 hours to complete.
The writer would be responsible for the following:
-Craft a working title for the episode
-Write a short description of the episode that piques interest and encourages downloads
-Write a "you'll learn" section: 3-5 bullets that tease what a listener will learn by the end of the episode
-Gather resources and links mentioned by the hosts in the episode (usually it's past episodes but can include news articles or resources mentioned by guests)
-If a guest is on the episode, include their first and last name, company, and job title
You would turn in a final draft of the Show Notes that is ready to publish (just needs a quick QA from our copy editor). The Show Notes will serve as both the episode description in iTunes and be uploaded to our podcast page. You'd also turn in the notes you took while working on the project.
This project also requires a quick turnaround—within 24 hours. The draft of the podcast is delivered on Mondays around noon CST. You'll listen to that recording of the episode and craft the Show Notes for the episode (episodes are usually 30-45 minutes long). Then turn in the final project, preferably that same Monday, for the episode to go live on Tuesday. The project will be turned in as a Word Doc.
