Producing Playground is a new marketplace aiming to connect music producers and hip-hop artists looking for beats at an affordable cost. With advancing technology and the rise of social media, Producing Playground needs to design their website to align with the goals of the business and the target audience. Producing Playground needs a website that functions as a powerful marketing and communications tool to attract new clients, position itself as a thought leader in the industry and provide credibility to potential joint venture partners.
Specifically, the new website needs to fulfill the following business needs:
1.Launch the MVP of the platform within the next 6 months
2.Producers - initial 200 users within 3 months of the launch
3.Artists - initial 300 users within 6 months of the launch
Also required is a content management system that will allow Producing Playground to easily manage content on the site and reduce administration costs.
TARGET AUDIENCE NEEDS
Being a marketplace, the target audiences for the Producing Playground website are defined as 1) Producers - between 15-29 yo, based in the UK. 2) Artists - Up & coming/aspiring hip-hop artists, looking for solid backing tracks. The new website needs to assist the target audience do the following:
1.Producers should easily register to the site and upload their own music
2.Producers should be able to manage their songs and sales while getting paid for their music sold via the platform
3.Artists should be able to easily browse through the music library, with categories and free search.
4.Artists should be able to purchase music on the site as well as managing their previous orders.
Ultimately, the Producing Playground website should be a useful resource for existing clients, potential new clients and potential new partners.
The new website will be designed to:
1.Allow visitors to signup for monthly subscription plans to upload music
2.Split payments per sale between the producer and Lucien
3.Allow visitors to browse, search and purchase tracks
4.Allow producers to sign up a week after we will start working on the project, allowing plenty of time to recruit the initial users even before the launch
6.Integrate smart email marketing tools to help reach our 300 users goal
7.Integrate social media tools to help encourage users to share tracks
Additionally, the following "behind the scenes" features will be built-in to the website:
Regular pings to Google, Yahoo and Bing
Google analytics performance reporting
High-speed page loading
Anti-spam features on contact forms
Video tutorials and a user manual for the content management system

The following options are recommended to enhance the performance of the website and help Producing Playground achieve the strategic objectives outlined in this proposal:

3.Developing a user dashboard for both the producers and the artists to help them manage their accounts.
4.Creating a public profile for producers where they can display their tracks and allow artists to purchase.
5.Create reviews feature on each track to allow users to rate and write a comment about the specific track.
