I am looking for a freelance capable of:
• Sign a given .app.
• Create an installable .pkg for the signed app (the installable should run a given preinstall script)
• Sign the installable with the given certificates.
• Successfully verify the installer with the spctl command
• The installable should not alarm the Gatekeeper as soon as we launch it after downloading it from the internet.
We have a macOS app developed with Electron and packaged with the electron-packager module (https://github.com/electron-userland/electron-packager).
Also, have the 3rd Party Mac Developer Application and the 3rd Party Mac Developer Installer certificates needed to sign the app.
Given the Electron-based macOS application, we want to distribute it as a signed application (so no warning from the Gatekeeper is shown) to the clients. Also, we need to run a bash script during the installation. Therefore we need to create a .pkg installer package.
Uploading it to the App Store is not an option since we use install scripts which are not permitted.
After signing the .app with the codesign command, generating the .pkg with the pkgbuild command and signing it with the productsign command, our resultant .pkg get rejected by the spctl command (even though it passes the pkgutil —check-signature verify).
Also, as soon as we upload the .pkg to some service/server and download it again it seems to lose the sign and the Gatekeeper prompts saying that it is not from a verified developer. We are not sure if it is possible.
