This is a bicycle light that is integrated into the bicycle stem (the part that connects the handlebars to the frame). The light will have the following features:
* constant mode, flash mode, 3 axis accelerometer to detect when bike is in use, light sensor to detect day vs. nite mode, laser to project image on ground 10 feet in front of bike, solar charging, lithium ion battery rechargeable via USB. The housing will be forged aluminum. The light will be a single LED at 250 lumens output (reflector may be required to focus light forward). One pushbutton switch on bottom of unit to override auto mode (daytime = flash, nighttime = constant + laser, active only when bike in use). Tamper proof screws.
I will need a complete design, BOM, photorealistic renderings, CAD file for manufacturing and possibly a prototype.
This is a project fueled by my personal desire to put a dummy-proof bike light on bikes for all kids 14yrs and under to reduce bike related child injury and death.
