We are looking for an ongoing mechanical engineering consultant for hire. This project is a concept drawing for a new product we are developing. This concept drawing will look like the final design, but is merely a concept. Our electrical engineering team will work from the concept drawing and provide the final CAD design for the PCB. The contractor will then be hired to finalize the drawing and prepare it for production.
We have developed our own ASIC chip for LED's. This allows us to combine all the drive components on the Aluminum PCB into a single device. The device has the following design limitations:
1. It needs to be in the shape of HEX and fit inside a 4" circle
2. The device will use an input connector and output connector allowing the devices to link from one AC input to multiple devices.
ALl the rest is open to interpretation by the mechanical designer.
We need the PCB board layout concept, the heatsink (also hex shaped and able to be connected together), a U shaped bracket for mounting the LED module , an interchangeable glass lens (changes the light angle pattern), The center section is a chip on board (COB) round emissive area. the design will operate at a max power of 50 watts and we need the heatsink to match. The heatsink will be comprised of an aluminum extrusion profile that is treated with copper cladding. The link below is the rough dimension of the COB module light area.
