Mobile Website - Convert an existing HTML mobile site to a real mobile website
I'd like an estimate to convert the existing 7 pages of http://goo.gl/YySq9 to be an actual mobile phone compatible website instead of the regular html "mobile" site that it currently is. All the information you need (text, links, car company logos, rate tables, etc.) is already on the existing pages. The same type of stuff needs to be on the new mobile website pages. I don't want an exact copy - I'd like the new website to look and act like a usual mobile phone website, but it must have the same sort of stuff on it. It's got to work and do the same thing as the existing website (I'm sorry if I'm stating the obvious). Please note that certain color highlighting is on the existing website for particular reasons. I'd like to somehow convey the same meaning to the new website.
Feel free to be creative and surprise me with your amazing work.
On the existing website is code for Google Analytics, Google AdWords and getclicky.com visitor tracking on all the pages. These components need to be on the new web pages.
Maybe: I'd also perhaps like to have a "Share" button that will bring up buttons for Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Linkedin and Email share. But maybe not if mobile devices already have that function. I know my iPhone has some of those share features built in when I tap the arrow in the square at the bottom. It's just that I saw the share button feature on this mobile site: http://m.sedonadentalarts.com/ and wondered about the necessity or luxury of having it on my new site. Please advise.
Please also visit my main website, http://goo.gl/ciKoG to get a feel of the type of color palette I like. In other words, I don't want to see a site that is full of a bunch of black, bright red, maroon, brown, olive green and other colors that just don't seem to fit a website that rent cars in the tropical ocean paradise of Hawaii.
I'd like the finished mobile website checked/validated with http://validator.w3.org/mobile/. I know no website will ever pass with a score of 100%, but at least around 70% would be acceptable.
I would like to be able to edit the pages in the future with Dreamweaver. The files need to be hosted on my server.
I have an iPhone and will be looking at and testing your work on that device. The new site should probably be a "reactive/responsive" fluid design so it shows up appropriately on the various device sizes.
Are you someone who can send me the first draft that doesn't have a bunch of elementary errors on the pages? Errors like missing links, incorrect links, defective links, missing page information, completely missing pages, information copied to the wrong pages, and screwed up navigation that goes nowhere will, of course, be unacceptable. I hope you agree. I know this requirement seems obvious and quite elementary, but I'm sorry I don't have the time to track down, notate and notify you of obvious errors and omissions. If I get first drafts like this it will tell me you are not very qualified to proceed and the job will be cancelled. However, I am always happy to offer suggested changes on layout, color palette, style, design, etc. I am also happy to pay bonuses for above and beyond the call of duty type work. In addition, if I ever ask for work that is not within the scope of our original agreement, just let me know and also know how much additional cost will be in advance. I never want anyone to work for free.
I need to see samples (URL's, not screen captures) of actual operational mobile websites you've done that I can actually go to on my iPhone.
To bid on this job, you need to be an experienced mobile website creator/designer and have already created many mobile websites.
Let's get started!
