**PLEASE READ THIS JOB DESCRIPTION THOROUGHLY. ANY GENERIC BIDS WILL BE DISCARDED AND REPORTED TO ODESK AUTHORITY**
Steps we need to take to fix SEO issues coming from the pagination of threads in the Concrete Forum. Google Webmaster Tools is reporting a large number of duplicate titles for the site, and most of these is happening because of pagination.
This affects all forum thread URLs. Whenever the forum thread stretches across more than one page, the template ads a query string param to the end of the URL, like this:
We can help Googlebot understand the pagination by using LINK rel="next" and LINK rel="prev" tags. These tags go in the HEAD second of the pages.
The first page of the thread should have this tag:
<LINK REL="next" URL="URL of the 2nd page">
The last page of the thread should have this tag:
<LINK REL="prev" URL="URL of the previous page in the thread">
Any pages in between these two should have LINK tags specifying the previous and next pages:
<LINK REL="next" URL="URL of the next page">
<LINK REL="prev" URL="URL of the previous page">
That's it. Note that Google wants us to specify pagination this way, instead of using a LINK Canonical tag.
Please write the word "tag" on your cover letter so that I know you went through the entire job description. It's a very easy task for anyone who knows what they are doing, so inexperienced in MyBB code should not apply.
Thanks and happy bidding.
