I'm the founder of First Checkpoint. We are a new website with the intention of becoming a well established and trusted resource in the motorcycle space. Our goal is to provide practical, actionable and realistic advice and reviews to our readers.
I’m looking to hire a writer who can contribute to our blog. The position will start with ~3 blog posts per week, with much room to grow beyond this if you can deliver consistent quality work. Each blog post will be between 1500-3000 words per post. Note that you do not have to be a professional motorcycle rider nor an expert in the field (although this would be ideal) to be considered for this position.
Please note that we have very high editorial standards compared to most other blogs. Every post that we publish will go through a strict editorial process where we check all claims and ideas for accuracy. It is of the most importance that our readers trust us and we absolutely must ensure the highest quality of content.
My budget is around $150 per week for 3 posts of approximately 2000 words each. This is calculated at 2.5 cents per word. So please bid based on delivering 3 x 2000 word articles.
You’ll be assigned topics by myself and given a submission deadline. It’s quite likely that in the first couple of weeks there will be a lot of feedback and editing required, but generally once a writer gets into the swing of things, that part should be minimal.
Note that we only require our writers to write the content, no web formatting or design is required.
If possible, please provide at least 3 samples of similar content you have written and/or published in your application. Also, take 5 minutes to customize your application and explain why you are a good choice for motorcycle related content, since generic copy/pasted applications will not stand out ;)
Thanks and good luck!
