I run a non profit teaching kids about coding and getting a raspberry pI certified educator
but scratch games still kick my ass. My goal is to change the game on game dev by teaching kids to make their own games on scratch.
The big thing that im looking to do is have games like this created in scratch with full functionality. The games will be the a way for the kids to see an end result and then I can teach them to how to reverse engineer the game. Allowing them to rebuild the game using your work as a template.
I've got 14 games in mind that resemble and play like old arcade games
. Street Fighter - 2d fighter
. Mario - Platformer
. Dragons Lair - Choose Path Game
. Doom - First Person Shooter
. Plant vs Zombies - Defense Castle game
. Temple Run - Runner Game
. Raiden Fighters - Jet Fighter Shooter
. Need for Speed - Racing Game
. Golden Axe - Multiplayer Side Scroller
. Metal Slug esk game - Action packed shooter
. Mega Man Game - choose your level
. Kid Chamelon Game - Morphing game
. Fantastic contractions - Puzzle
. Pokemon - RPG
. Farmville - Civilization game
. Harvest Moon - slice of life game
All this to say that I will have a lot of work involved in this project.
im working to have these games be what helps the kids move from visual programming to python programming to C++ so these have to be cool and pretty much work like the orginals,
event if its just one level.
Im looking for a a few inviduals that can build games on this idea.
My company is a non profit so wont have much at the begining, but with each game I can teach another class which means the faster the game is produced that faster get the cash to flip the next game.
if it sounds like a win, then answer the question below and we can have a quick conversation on the gig and if its a good fit.
