I am going to present a direct-mail magazine marketing project to a prospective client. I simply need a mock-up of a magazine proposal that features a semi-customized cover and semi-customized content.
Previously designed magazine templates used for other clients that are simply tweaked to incorporate different title masthead, teaser title elements, images should be fine. With the the interior content I am looking to tweak titles and introductory paragraphs. Also, you would probably need to tweak images to make them more contextually relevant.
I am not looking for any designer to re-invent the wheel or make a uniquely customized product for me since this is just aimed at giving the client an idea of what it might look like. Also, I need this completed by Tuesday night.
Magazine Theme/Topic: Hyper local news/current events and/or public safety/crime focused
Thus, not looking for anything too edgy/modern. Here is something akin to what I am looking for with respect to style and content. However, I am not a fan of the boring text title on the cover. But it gives you a gist of what I am aiming for.
Each will have a different masthead/title info. I will provide text/language but want you to make it graphically appealing
Some of the teaser content titles on cover may be universal. I will provide text.
Will need at least two unique cover images...maybe 3. Will describe what I am looking for upon hire.
About 8 pages, but again...not looking for you to build anything from scratch. I am hoping you can simply use some existing designs you have already created, plug in some new titles, insert a couple of original paragraphs at the beginning and tweak the pictures to make it contextually relevant.
Please note that this sample pitch will not be posted on-line or used in any way commercially. It is merely meant to provide the client with something tangible to look at and capture their attention...not be a print ready work of perfection aimed at securing a six figure contract from a Fortune 500 company.
However, if things go well and the client agrees to the proposal this could turn into a monthly monthly or bi monthly design gig.
