I have existing code for a curl youtube download script that needs a bit of modification.
I will want you to use the script to develop a site that will scan a certain subreddit on reddit for youtube videos. It will then download the video to the server, and make a post on our site with the video. It will basically mirror some videos from youtube. It will then post a comment on a specific thread with a link to it.
There only needs to be a minimal interface for the features of the site.
Here is the way it should work:
1. Our program should be running a cron job every 30 minutes that scans for new youtube links in specific subreddits.
2. A redditor submits a youtube link on one of the subreddits being scanned.
3. Our program sees a new youtube link has been posted and downloads a copy to the server.
4. The program goes to the thread the redditor submitted (the link to youtube) and posts a comment there, with a link to the video.
This should work even if multiple youtube links are found and for multiple subreddits.
You will need to have the video play in some sort of flash video player. It will need to store all it's data in a database.
No backend functionality is required.
