Gamer's Tavern is a weekly podcast on tabletop gaming with a heavy focus on roleplaying games. We record once per week and have between two and three hours of raw audio. The format is .WAV from a Zoom R16 which is post-mix from my Behringer UB2442FX-Pro mixer. I will do preliminary background noise removal and track synchronization before the files are sent to you.
What I need you to do is listen to the podcast and cut out the various verbal ticks that the hosts and guests have ("Umm", "Uhh", "You know", repeated words, things like that) and any prolonged silences (usually anything over a second, I cut down). Delivery of edited files is expected within seven days from when they're provided.
I'll then take the files you send back and do a final pass editing, dropping in the cold open, commercials, etc. and do any final other tweaking.
In addition to your negotiated rate, you will be credited as Assistant Editor both on the audio recording and the show notes for any episode you work on. If, after the project is ended, we both feel comfortable with the job, you will be considered for a regular position, a listing on the About page on the website, and a change for a promotion to Editor with increased pay and responsibilities.
