I'm making a simple agile-styled list of all the categories to be covered. Each member of the team today will work on one of the sections. There are about 15-20 high level sections, with subsections. (i.e. "MySQL vs. SQL Server" with subsections like triggers, stored procedures, data types, storage engines, etc.).
Just using MSWord (or something simple like that) you'll put together bullet-point notes or ordered "how to" steps and include any screenshots or images required. Attach the file to your issue and move it along the board. Then grab the next one.
For the most part, I'm expecting everyone to be in the same skype/hangout group during any billable hours.
I've fallen behind schedule preparing for a training session I deliver this week. I have a full course outline for a 2-day class I'm teaching this week (Thursday/Friday) but I need help creating the content for the presentation.
What I'm looking for is someone who can create a bullet-point training documentation with screenshots/examples along side me online. I'll be doing this all day August 13th, and need someone responsive with strong MySQL and Amazon RDS knowledge (so you don't have to learn from scratch every piece I give you to make).
Topic of training is MySQL (queries, caching, replication, storage engines, stored proceedures, triggers, etc.), RDS (setup, config, API & automation, etc.), and SQL Server (conserns migrating from SQL Server to MySQL, common migration concerns, etc.). I'm weakest with SQL Server, but the team I'm assembling will be required to fill in on all topics.
I'll be consolidating and building the master presentation in real time with you as you give me material back. I'll do most of the presentation work (layouts, consistent flow, etc.) but assembling images/screen caps/example exercises are going to be part of your assignments.
NOTE: you aren't doing any training yourself. You're just helping me make my slides. It's a very time-consuming process, even if you know all the material.
NOTE2: I'm probably going to hire more than one person for this, and we'll ALL be on a conference on Google Hangouts or Skype - whatever is easiest for the group.
NOTE3: Assembling training material takes time even when you know it. If you plan on learning as you go, this is NOT the gig for you. Every piece of work will have a turn-in time. If you are consistently late or your material is vague, I will boot you from the team.
DO NOT BID if you can't work all day in real time with me and/or the team on August 13th (09:00EST to approximately 19:00EST with some breaks).
