You will answer the phone, gather basic information from the caller and setup an appointment for a return phone call.  Simple job.  You must be available to receive phone calls from 8 AM  to 11 PM New York Time Zone (EST/EDT), 7 days a week.  Calls will come through your computer over the Internet so you must have it on, an Internet connection and our phone application running during those hours.  You must of course have a working headset.  We will provide the phone application and help you set it up.

It is our expectation that you will only receive a small handful of calls to start.  Should this grow to be much larger than expected or increase to be too much for you to handle, we will hire additional help to spread the workload and the total hours will be reduced to a more normal day.  This will be primarily at your judgment and request.  So for example you may receive 1 call per day or per hour or less to start, but could potentially increase to 10 or 100 or more calls per hour.  It is unknown at this time how many calls you will receive.  We expect to soon place approximately 100 ads all over the Internet.  How many of those viewers will respond to our ads, we do not know.

Each caller is estimated to take you approximately 1-2 minutes or less on average.  Please bid based on a per caller basis.  Example:  $0.01 per caller.   Based on your bid we will then agree to a fixed price contract, such that your work is limited to a specific number of callers.  For example if you bid $0.01 per caller, we might specify a fixed price of $10.00  That would allow for 1000 callers.  Once you reached 1000 callers (which might take 1 day or a week or more) we'd then renew the contract with another fixed price contract with the same terms.  This is just an example.  The fixed price amount will be determined by your bid.

Lowest bidder with best English skills and telephone etiquette wins contract.  We may need to hire several people depending on response to our ads.

If you disappear without prior and proper notice, this is grounds for termination.  You are expected to keep your agreed schedule.  If you cannot, I must be notified with sufficient advance notice to put a replacement for you in place.  If you quit without reasonable notice, I will give you bad feedback.  If I am forced to terminate you, you will receive bad feedback.

If I give you something that you feel is unreasonable to do, or you become otherwise unhappy with the work, you are expected to act like a professional and discuss it with me like a mature adult before doing anything that would affect my business.

Please be aware, I expect daily and sometimes more frequent status reports.  This report will vary according to the type of job you are applying for.  Note that failure to provide these reports is grounds for termination.

I expect frequent communication, especially if there is any problem, confusion and especially any deviation from our agreement.  I expect you to respond in a timely manner.  If I try to chat with you by any agreed method (such as skype, odesk team application, etc.) and you do not respond but are logging time, this is grounds for termination.

You are expected to use “team viewer” application each & every time you log time.  “Team Viewer” is different from odesk team application.  You must provide me with the information that enables me to view your screen.  If you are logging time and I try to access your screen and if I can't do so, this is grounds for termination.

Most of the above policies should not need to be stated, you should already know this as common courtesy and professionalism.  I have very recently had several bad experiences with contractors and therefore in order to help prevent a repeat, I have instituted these policies and spelled out in detail my expectations from all contractors.  These policies are in reaction to events that have occurred.  They are very reasonable policies – if you disagree, do not apply.  Other policies may be instituted as I deem necessary.
