The job is,
I'll be providing you with models - and the skeleton and a fully weight painted avatar to perform rigging and weight painting the assets (such as a shirt or pants or a dress to move with the avatar.)
However the game engine is old and kind of sort of a pain. To be completely honest.
So the person must be willing to get on the game engine, test the rigs and weights (because sometimes what you see in maya as a perfect weight paint can be a little bit faulty in game)
It has flaws but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard.
I am willing to listen to the artist during the learning process. I'm willing to pay for their time as they are learning (should not take more than a day but even if it does..)
I have video tutorials that are made by me and my partner showing how to rig and weight paint exactly for this engine.
I need the artists applying to have patience, sense of humor (mandatory), enough availability (as there are going to be a lot of projects)
I like to work with fixed prices. But each project differs. So while one piece can be very simple to rig another piece can be a pain to weight paint. So each project will have it's own price. So I guess it still boils down to how many hours it will take the artist. But it will be pre-discussed.
I need flexibility. I need the projects delivered back -fast-. That means, probably within 24-48 hours.
Pretty much looking for a team player who will become a part of the family we have going here.
Must be willing to work with us long-term. We don't like to jump from one artist to another. So please if you won't be able to be consistent, do not apply.
