A weight indicator will be connected to a Raspberri Pi3 via RS232. It will be sending weight information in real time.
This application is for checkweighing a recipe of certain ingredients. So if the required amount is about to be reached, the display shall turn YELLOW, if it is between the accepted range, it shall turn GREEN and if it is over it shall turn RED.
A series of ingredients will need to be weighed, and only after the required amount is reach, it will allow for the next ingredient to be weighed
Here is the step by step process:
A recipe is loaded, that contains previously loaded ingredients with their specific tolerances (+/- % accepted weight)
Ingredient #1 5Kg, +/- 1% tolerance
The scale will output the current ingredient weight, and show it in the Raspberry pi's screen. for example 3Kg, since the required amount is 5 Kg, the screen should show a yellow color indicating the required amount has not been reached yet. The operator will continue to add ingredient #1 until it reaches between 4950 g and 5050g (+/- 1% Tolerance) and show display in GREEN. if the operator goes over 5050g, it will show the display in RED, indicating he has to remove some ingredient #1, until it is the "green zone". After reaching the "green zone", a NEXT button shall appear, so the operator will be able to weigh the next ingredient and so on.
All the ingredients in this batch shall be stored in a DB. A ticket will be printed at the end, showing:
Ingredient list with all the corresponding weighs
2 RS232 ports shall be read, as there is a scale that is set to weigh in Kg and another that weighs in g.
The ingredient list shall contain:
-Scale (if it is to be weighed in scale #1 (Kg) or in scale#2 (g)
-Tolerance : +/- %
-Ingredient list and required weigh
