We have replication set between MS SQL Server 2008 R2 and MS SQL Server 2012 Standard. (Two Databases)SQL Server 2008 is Distributor and Publisher and SQL Server 2012 is Subscriber. Once per some time, typically after update restart replication replication is not working properly. Status is OK but there no data transferred.
I need somebody to reconfigure for us configuration to:
1) Send e-mail notification if replication is not working properly or it's failed data validation (configure script or schedule job) of databases records on both ends.
2) Reconfigure or provide guidance how to deal with reinitialize synchronization after restart of machine. One of databases are running in SQL 2000 mode and recreating snapshot via snapshot agent is not possible. We need to manually change mode to SQL mode 2008, recreate snapshot and change mode to SQL 2000 because our website front end is not working in any other. Every time when synchronization is reinitialized even when option "use current snapshot" is selected again is forcing to generate new snapshot and we need to bring production database now.
3) Suggest some other way of creating one way copy of database for reporting purposes.
