The person that will excel in this role is friendly, very professional, great personality on the phone, not afraid to hear "no" and can softly push for "just ten minutes." Also, you must be organized and detail-oriented.
We are an Association Management Software (AMS) company that provides associations with a complete suite of technology solutions - event management, legislative tracking, advocacy, training and accreditation, membership management, communications, app, and website. This project will focus the next several weeks on legislative tracking solutions before switching to other parts of the platform.
You will be calling on three groups: people that have attended one of our webinars, executive directors of associations, and registered lobbyists. The goal will be to schedule a quick chat for them to talk with one of our legislative consultants about how they currently track legislation and see if our solutions could be a good fit for them. Each week, we will meet and discuss the projects for the week.
We can work with you to understand the product, the value, and provide you with suggested scripts. However, we feel a script takes the "relationship building" out of the sales process and encourage any freelancer we work with to use what works for them. Our industry is VERY high-touch, high-relationship.
This project requires detailed notes to be kept and updated in ZohoCRM. We will provide access to our ZohoCRM to record notes, assign tasks, and makes calls. We have an outlined process in place. We can provide suggested scripts if needed, but our experience is that the right candidate has their own natural script that works for them (we just ask to be able to review it).
This is an initial contract that we hope can turn into a long-term relationship with the right freelancer. We are looking to fill this position ASAP.
We want a minimum of 10 hours per week, but for the right people - up to 20 hours per week if results justify the investment on our side! We are OK with a Mon - Thu schedule, as we don't see a lot of success in our Friday calls.
Who will you be talking to?
Executive Directors, VPs, Directors, and Government Relations experts
Our key verticals are selling legislation tracking software to state and local governments (ex: Department of Transportations, large cities) and our full AMS platform to large non-profit associations, legal associations (ex: state bars, state prosecuting attorney associations), educational associations (ex: state school boards, educational service agencies), and trade associations (ex: state CPA associations, medical associations).
