Cold Pitching Instructions
You will need to send group emails to specific people on our google sheets, this job requires you to be VERY VERY CAREFUL, do not make mistake with emailing and updating the document.
1. We will share an email login with you, you need to login to this gmail account to send pitch emails. The mailing list can also be found in the google sheet under this account called IA cold reach.
2. In the list you will need to select and find the group of people for your pitch. This might be different will according to the actual job instruction. You will be given instruction on a job by job basis.
3. We will use mail merge to send group emails and it is already installed on this account. Please learn how to use mail merge here https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=616&v=F07Py7sraDg
4. Create a new mail merge template, copy and past your pitch target Company Name into mail merge “First Name” and email to “Emaill Address”
5. Go to add ons -> configure mail merge, the info here is always come from email@example.com with name Rick C. Then click continue, select “existing Gmail draft message as template”, then use a template as instructed for the specific job. This might change according to which job you are doing. Please refer to job description.
6. Send a test email and read through it make sure it works well, particularly the name part at the beginning. If you are first time on this job, stop here and contact me to review the test email before continue.
7. Then Run Mail Merge, wait till it finishes. sometime it drops off, you just have to quickly config and run it again.
8. Update all these people you have pitched in the original google sheet document so we know they are being emailed. The place to update are different from job to job. usually it is one of the column of the first pitch or second pitch.
9. Do not delete the mail merge template and submit it with your job.
