Looking for an experienced Python developer to assist with streamlining the installation and setup process for an open source web framework. You will work with the lead developer of a custom software firm that specializes in building custom web applications. We are finding that people are interested in learning how to use the framework but the installation process is not as streamlined and easy as it could be. The framework is called Zoom and is available on GitHub here: https://github.com/dsilabs/zoom
We are happy to take suggestions to improve this, but generally new users should be able to install the framework:
$ pip install zoom
then, create an instance:
$ zoom setup web
and finally run the built-in server on that instance,
$ zoom server
As part of this project, we also need simple instructions that new developers can use to install, setup and run the Framework. The instructions should be done in Markdown with screen shot snippets or similiar visuals, that is suitable for GitHub and/or the front page of a support site.
You will be expected to submit the final product via a pull request on GitHub by forking Zoom, making modifications to your fork and then issuing a PR. If we use your code you will be required to relase the code under the MIT license as it will be re-published by us under that same license as part of the Framework.
I am looking for a mix of experience and value
