Currently we have a huge amount of work and we therefore will need more than 1 developer. As contractors such as yourself will have lots of clients and would not be able to devote the time we need. By sharing the time between 2 contractors we lower the risk of any issues arising as the work created in partnership with other developers will be easier to judge on quality, it allows LM to have the time needed to develop our site more quickly while still allowing the contractor time with his other clients. I mentioned this as it is a pre-requist for the position.

On unpacking the site and loading the new server we found the site working but only just, the plug gin written to interface with the SQL database seems to work but we can see lots of work is still needed before we would be in a position to then focus on further updates. Therefore I have written a rough order of work needed below and wanted to know what areas you would be best suited for, your time available, your costs.

I sort of know a little about website, ( yes a little knowledge is often more dangerous than none) although it allows me to have a clear picture of where I want the site to be.  A huge amount of work is in content but before we start adding all the content we want the framework to be stable , visually representative of the image we wish to portray, easy to manage, easy to expand upon.  Ideally our end result is somewhere close to www.tek.com , www.sena.com

Work to do: In rough order

1. We should have a SQL database already interfaced with the site but not sure how to access it, if it is their we need a interface built so we can load excel templates and files into the new website.
If it isn't their we wish to build this service into the existing site.

1.a The site should be completely back up and expandable from  the back up including any database and content, either via backup buddy or what ever method chosen, the backup site should be able to be saved in our Dropbox each month by just adding in the updates.

1.b We would like to have a little coaching for the employed staff so they can manage all the content safely, our staff are highly skilled professional in thier chosen fields not necessarily  experianced in wordpress but responsible enough to not do something unless their sure.

2. Visually we wish to make design changes that will be ranging from possibly quite technical to small tweaks, adding features such as Video, Twitter banners which already exist in the site but do not appear in each page.

2.1 The site has standard Wordpress compatible SEO FIELDs which are currently blank. We already have a list of words to load wish guidance before we do and or can offer the list for developer to do.

2.2: Our aim is to have multi language site so that the users IP is identified and the site shows his location and relevant language but can be changed at his own request. Hopefully we can prepare the pages now so that all we have to do is ask our international partners to change the text that is readable to the user. We can then cut / paste the amended text. If we look at www.tek.com your will see they handle this by a range of folders such as.

Te.com/ru/ would be the russian folder, were open to suggestions but if it works for tek should be ok for LM.

2.3 The home screen major banner will also change dependant to the users location.

2.4 Home screen banner also need to be designed to a higher standard so if any design skill sets are available were willing to look at offering this work as well.
