We're looking for long term relationships.
We need trial articles on 5 topics of each 500 words long. They need to be broken up in separate paragraphs which are logically "independent": each paragraph will be posted in conjunction with a photo or on top of a slide.
It is therefore not of interest to us how many words you can produce, but whether you can describe the essence as succinctly as possible. Less is more quite literally.
The sequence of sentences or short paragraphs then basically tell the whole narrative.
We don't care about SEO writing but we do care about usability and how people read. In that realm Nielsen's usability studies and eye-track study results are essential to incorporate and we have some basic guidelines for you to follow. It's really not that hard, but it's just "knowing it", "AHA... THAT way.." and then doing it a few times before you get the hang of it.
Example: eye-track studies show that usually the first 2-3 words (some even say the first 8 characters) need to convince the reader to continue reading the sentence or paragraph. They're the hook. Starting with fluff is therefore suicide.
Example II: People scan a text in an F-shape, and while scrolling down read less and less. The way a message is formatted so it falls within that F-shape is essential in order to get the message across.
As this is a trial we pay $5/article. We will post several themes related to fashion, jewelry, gemstones, diamonds shortly. If data is needed, we will provide that data (such as a stylist combination of a fall/winter 2013 outfit + notes + other info). Sometimes we'll ask you to find you own information if it's easy to google (for example: "what are the top 5 fall/winter fashion trends").
We will need some articles by 19 October.
