I'm looking for professional translators, preferably native english speakers, as the job involves writing down phonetic transcriptions of foreign words, but using english pronunciation (more details below).

The translations will be used in language learning application, so they have to be good-quality, with proofreading.

I have a file exported from a database, which has the english words. I would like you to work on translating the phrases contained in this file.

Here is an example showing how the file looks like, and how to translate it:

id: 6704732785606656
nsm: substantive
phrase: someone
example: This is [someone] very important.

- Please do not change the overall format of the file. Also, please do not insert any "newline" characters.
- The field "target_phrase" should be filled with a translated version of the word "someone".
- Sometimes, there is "comment_for_translator" field, which is intended only for you, regarding the translation.
- The field "target_calque" can probably stay empty most of the time. It should be filled only, when a "phrase" is an idiom, i.e. a phrase which has a meaning that is commonly understood by speakers of the language, but whose meaning is often different from the normal meaning of the words. As an example, consider a Polish phrase "Nie mam zielonego pojęcia" means "I haven't the foggiest idea". But if translated literally (calque) it would have to be "I haven't the green idea." which is not quite correct.
- The field "target_transcription" should be filled with the phonetic transcription. For example, if the "target_phrase" is "Buenos días" the "target_transcription" should be something like "boo-en-os dee-yas", so that a native English speaker could read it more or less correctly.
- "target_comment" should be a translated version of "comment"
- "target_example" should be a translated version of "example"
- Within the "target_example" field, you should use square brackets [ and ] to denote the usage of the phrase; it is the best if the example uses the word in the same form, but it's ok if it isn't
- Sometimes, e.g. in English, you could have a phrase "be someone's doing", and the example can be written like "It [was] all [her doing]." - note that the square brackets were used twice, because in the example, the phrase was injected in between other words.

When applying, please give me an estimate on how long do you think it will take you.
