Each month we record a longer segment on a skincare topic with a local news program. We need a talented, independent video editor to take a longer segment and create shorter versions to be used in various social media and on our website. Segments tend to feature an interview with the doctor, b-roll of the procedure being performed etc. We're looking for someone who can tighten up slow moments all the while emphasizing the benefits of the product/procedure through the use of titles, lower thirds etc. We'll send you projects monthly with the expectation that you'll be able to review the segment, identify what the host and doctor are emphasizing/advertising and be able to come up with strategies to emphasize visually (without needing detailed guidance from us :-)
Strong communication skills is a must.
Choose one version below as your interview sample (see notes below regarding this interview sample).
Version one to be created: This version is for Instagram using these guidelines: https://support.sendible.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034656872-Video-guidelines-for-social-sites#:~:text=File%20size%20must%20not%20exceed,1%3A3%20and%203%3A1
Version two to be created: For our facebook page. 3-5 minutes using these guidelines: https://support.sendible.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034656872-Video-guidelines-for-social-sites#:~:text=File%20size%20must%20not%20exceed,1%3A3%20and%203%3A1
We plan to hire 5+ editors for this project as part of the interview process, compare work, and then narrow down to one hire. You only need to create ONE of the above versions for your sample - the longer or shorter version. For the sample you create as part of the interview we're mostly interested in seeing what you cut/keep, how you tighten the segment, and which materials you choose to emphasize. Note: We understand that sometimes freelancers are not a good match after reviewing their interview sample, but regardless we are always enthusiastic in our reviews about freelancers who are willing to interview and this is reflected in our excellent reputation on Upwork.
You may not use any of the resulting material in your portfolio without advanced permission.
