Under the brand name HomeBuddy, we are seeking products manufactured in China to sell to the US market. The products are for use in the home, kitchen and garden.
Based in or near Shanghai, the VA will initially work for 35 to 70 hours per month.
You will carry out the following duties:
Source products direct from manufacturers.
Assess product quality and suitability for the US market.
Help negotiate a competitive price.
Once product is sourced and ready for production, ensure product spec is 100% correct.
Check packaging – (you may need to source packaging separately and check design supplied by us and negotiate price).
Arrange shipping to the US.
Assist HomeBuddy staff with travel and arrange meetings with manufacturers during visits to China.
Excellent communication and clerical skills are essential, with good use of English, both written and spoken. Attention to detail is paramount.
The job initially part time, will suit someone working from home, but you will be required to travel to manufacturing companies to discuss product specifications, check manufacturing facilities and negotiate price.
Please note, only the highest quality products will be accepted and must be consistent and accurate to the agreed spec. The products will need to be packaged to a very high standard. Although price is important, this must not compromise quality.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. As our business expands, we will be looking to open warehousing facilities for our products in China and take on permanent staff.
