I am applying to work in Cancun and I need to record a video. What to include/How to make the 60 seconds video required?
Deadline: 12/17 but ideally ready before.
The video will be the most powerful tool in convincing them that I'm the best for the job.
There are samples if you search "CEO Cancun" at Youtube. This is an example: https://ceo.cancun.com/profile/nicki-sun (I felt she fit in a lot in those 60 seconds and the quality is there). I'd like to record something that can top or compete with that or be as awesome!
As you can see Nicki has camera experience and is a YouTuber. I have Acting training, I'm pilates certified, CPR certified, I like imitating accents, ama huge animal lover, and want to travel the world, learn more languages. I speak Spanish and English. Working on improving my ASL, Italian, & French. Enjoy fun and cool adventures! Have volunteered for different non-profits and have worked in retail selling luggage/suitcases and travel needs. Very Tech-savvy as well. I own a T3i, GoPro, MacBook, iPhone, Microphone, and Tripod. I say that to see what we can do...
Descriptions are provided below:
Create a 60 second or less application video in English, making a creative case for why they (or their team) should be considered to be the CEO. This video must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo. Videos must have monetization settings turned off as to not disrupt the viewer experience. Videos must comply with the conditions set out in "Application Submission Terms." Video submissions may be tested for quality assurance and those with poor sound and vision quality; incomplete or inaccurate application forms will not be eligible for the position, so make sure these issues have been solved before you upload to YouTube.
In conclusion, The video just needs to show why I would be a good fit for their CEO position. The way it's showcased is up to me. I can include animation, talk, etc. As far as for including photography, as long as it's pictures that can be used (non-editorial) it should be fine.
Regarding the choice selection, they're gathering information from the applicants to see what their skills are (mine are probably being on-camera presence). I don't necessarily need to have a video that shows that, but it could help you if I did.
These are the choice-selection which I have to choose the 2 that are my strongest:
On-Camera Presence (communicative, charismatic, collected, cool..)
Technical Smarts (Cameras, equipment, etc.)
Post-production Mastery (Programs, editing, etc)
Storytelling Savvy (Scripting, sourcing, crafting a narrative...)
How can you help?
What do you suggest doing for footage?
