Popular Posts: On the right-hand column where it says: "Popular Posts" → this is where all recent articles / every new article currently appears.
__ Can the “Popular Posts” to be the articles that have been viewed / read / shared the most?
If the “Popular Posts” can not be updated to show posts that have been read/shared more than other posts I suggest we use that sidebar area to host our Instagram feed.
__ Add Instagram & Twitter to social media in the “Stay Connected” area
Instagram Handle: InspireRecoveryWPB
Twitter Handle: InspirePrideWPB
YouTube: Inspire Recovery
__ Suggest adding the Instagram feed above “Recent Articles” and the Facebook feed below the “Stay Connected” list of social media links
__ The dates on the blog are comma seperated. Would prefer periods or dashes.
__ The “O” in “Contact” needs to be lowercase
__ Please put an outline around the fill boxes for Name, Phone Number and Email Address
In the body of a Post
__ It’s not possible to make a list, this function does not work
Currently we can choose which one is the Featured in the top horizontal bar…
Would be cool if "Feature" was an option in the categories menu on the backend to hand-pick the featured articles that occupy the three most prominent spots on the blog
PREFER not to have every new article become featured on the frontpage (because some of them will be more of fluff/filler pieces).
The “LGBTQ Meetings” and “Calendar” are not currently wigets on the blog but these notes are here in case we want to have them incorporated in the future:
__ LGBTQ Meetings: Needs to be a clickable button (exists in the right sidebar). I would like this to be a sidebar on the Calendar landing page (see below).
Needs to be a widget/plugin where we can have a list of meetings (including: Name of meeting, Name of venue, Day and Time and another line in case there is a note to include like “closed meeting.”
The address or venue name needs to be able to hyperlink to a map so that mobile users can get directions quickly. At the bottom of the meeting sidebar I’d like to provide a list of the AA and NA “Where and When” as well… to help keep all that 411 info in one place.
__ Calendar (sidebar widget that clicks to an event landing page) where we can list numerous events per day. I’d also like to have a clickable button for anyone to “Submit an Event” and have a fill form that links to email@example.com
__ Category Names UPDATES: The three categories in Blue below are listed on the frontend. Would like to change from “LGBTQ Issues” → to “LGBTQ Advocacy”
LGBTQ Treatment Program [on front end → not a category on backend]
LGBTQ Issues [on front end → not a category on backend]
LGBTQ News & Events [on front end → not a category on backend]
Current Backend Categories
LGBTQ Advocacy & News
In the Addiction Treatment Field
News Talk on Drugs & Alcohol → Addiction News
The Solution: Recovery Resources, News and Events → The Solution
Inspire Pride: LGBTQ News & Events → Inspire Pride
Inspire Recovery: Our Center & Programs → Inspire Recovery
News and Events
__ Auto Resizing Images?? For all of the images, is it possible to have programmed sizes? For example: for “Featured” articles, have specific sizes set to host the banner images, for now featured pieces have the “Featured Image” be a specific size and when the non-featured articles are listed on the front page of the blog have them resize to a set thumbnail image size so the page always looks uniform no matter what size the images are?
___ Installation and configuring IFTTT from wordpress news blog to tumblr.
These updates have been completed!
✅ "LGBTQ Issues" section: articles are not clickable / no where you "click to read more"
✅ "Addiction/Recovery in General": MOST article that you click have this listed as the category at the top of the page (when it takes you to the landing page).
✅ Social Media Linking: When you click a social media icon it needs to provide OUR article as a shareable post on the viewer’s social media platform of their choice. [Currently it just opens up the social media platform but doesn’t link our articles so they can be cross-posted.]
I am looking for a mix of experience and value
