We’re looking for an expert personal finance writer to join our ranks. As one of Australia’s largest comparison sites, we need writers with the ability to write objective, concise copy to enable our users to make a better informed decisions.
We are looking for an experienced writer to compose articles about credit cards and other forms of finance. We prefer that you are located in Australia, but we are also accepting applications from around the world.
Our topic areas include:
Ideally, applicants should have experience in the above areas. However, all applicants must have experience in journalism and/or writing online. Applicants must also be able to write fluently in English with correct punctuation and grammar.
You will need to be able to write in an Australian context, be easily contactable, have a Skype account and have a good knowledge of the Australian-based financial market. You’ll need to be able to write in a friendly, casual manner that reads to an Australian audience, but still remains informative. A sense of humour is a bonus. Puns are welcomed.

A good understanding of article structure (e.g. headings, keywords etc)
We will provide the briefs, expectations and context for each article, and provide feedback to help you grow as a writer.
You’ll be responsible for creating new content and improving existing content to ensure that each page perfectly meets the user’s intent. The idea is to produce content that you’d want to read when making a purchase decision
Articles are usually between 500-2000 words in length and are subject to a deadline and time limit.
Applicants must be prepared to complete a paid test writing task before being accepted for the role.
This job is suited to writers who want flexibility but the chance to develop a long-term contract.
