Flat fee of $50 to answer this question about the structure of the British education system:
Please list the stages, levels, or grades of the British educational system before college, and the different types of college educations that are available, and what the testing or grade requirements are for getting into the different types of college.
Here is the basic kind of answer we're looking for, though we'd like a little more detail than below:
For the American education system, there is:
Elementary school (grades K, 1, 2,3,4,5)
Middle school (grades 6,7)
Junior high school (grades 8,9)
High school (grades 10,11,12)
There are three types of undergraduate colleges:
2-year Community Colleges
4-year Private Universities
4-year Public Universities
There are several types of graduate university programs, including:
Masters of Science
Masters of Arts
Master of Fine Arts
To get into a 4-year college, you need to score high enough on the SAT test and you need to have a high enough GPA. In the USA, there are no specific cutoff scores to get into a 4-year college.
Anybody can go to a 2-year community college; there are no entry requirements.
