I am revising my post because it did not contain all the details (July 14):
This project does indeed involve score reductions, however after running into several problems with very educated musicians, I have decided that I will condense the orchestrated music myself onto pencil/paper and would like to invite several people to help engrave these reductions. I have about 500 of little excerpts from 4 bars to 70 bars - they are all different lengths because this project involves the study of orchestration, and there is not much time.
I am converting these score into a standard 8-line sketch.
2 staves for Woodwinds
2 staves for Brass
3 for Strings
1 for Drum & Hp/Pno (and maybe 1 or 2 addition staves if necessary).
The reduction should be in Sibelius 6 (preferred) but can also accept Finale. Additional text boxes should be included in the music that show all common instr. name abbreviations (like Fl., Cl, Ob, Bsn, Hn, Tpt, Tbn, Timp, Vln. 1, 2, Vla, VC, & DB) that have stems up and down that clearly show what instruments are playing what notes.
I have no money to spend on this and doing it all myself, as a full-time student, but I can pay $50 if someone will agree to engrave 50 reduction excerpts I will provide and reduce myself. The due date is Aug 1. This is basically, for you, an engraving job that will involve putting in instr. names in text and I will take care of the reduction, as opposed to my previous post 2 days ago... I'm sorry it's not more money, but you will have credit in a published textbook as an engraver-
This is for a textbook that will be eventually published and I will fully credit whomever can assist! Attached is one example I did from the Nutcracker to see what I'm talking about.
Thank you!! :D
