I need to have a thorough 3-5 page report including real life data on fish waste composting here in Alaska. Must be a minimum of 3-5 pages w/first page paragraph containing the abstract of the topic of using fish waste for developing compost for soil amendment to grow food in the state of Alaska (turning our local fish waste (gut, bones, leftovers) and composting it for use as soil amendment in AK... once again- real life data is a must. I am the owner of 907 Manic Organic and will be using this as a business tool to provide lenders and other information on the benefits of turning our fish waste into a usable product.

I will provide you with the links to the resources for the research OR you may research fish waste composting yourself. (AK Sea Grant, UAF, UAA) or any other Alaska site.

Good English and grammar, research and experience in research and Microsoft Word and data collecting is critical.

Some points to include:

I would make sure to connect the dots between compost and local food production and how it all relates to energy consumption in rural Alaska.  It's been estimated that 90% of all food in Alaska is imported but I've never actually seen this data from an actual reliable source, only second hand.  You may want to research "food miles" for a perspective on how much fossil fuels is used for the shipping, transporting and manufacturing food.

In my experience, I've had more problems from dogs than bears.  Usually, animals will prefer food waste when it's not ground up with dirt and other compost.  Bears for example would usually prefer fish carcasses on the beach to rotten guts covered in dirt.  We've had complaints from neighbors in the past, but ironically they complained prior to us actually composting fish.  They didn't like the idea of composting fish and were thinking worse case scenarios.  Anytime, a compost system larger than home-scale is considered, the neighbors should be made aware.  It's in the composter's best interest to relieve the neighbors' fears if possible.  Please be aware that bad odors can be an issue especially if fish is used and if the compost isn't mixed properly.

I am very time crunched which is why I am using this service for this project so please only place a bid if you are confident in your ability to complete the project. I would also happily negotiate a bonus if the project could be completed by Nov 26th but must be completed by the 10 am. morning of Nov 27th pacific time here in the US.
