The High Reliability Organization Council (HROC), experts in Human Performance and High Reliability Organization (HRO), has a data science and development team offering capacity in complex system design, technical development, and meeting IT project specifications. Expertise in task saturation (and its impact on HRO objectives) helps ensure projects undertaken can complete on time and within budget. Members of our team have led many Defense and Federal contracts and grants, including with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Army Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC), Air Force, NIH, CDC, and others, as well as projects with hundreds of healthcare facilities and providers and also beyond healthcare. Our diverse team (e.g., hospital CEOs, Veterans, past Malcolm Baldrige examiner, etc.) has proven in critical, time-sensitive settings how to approach High Reliability levels of Human Performance. This ultimately maximizes quality and efficiency of teams and their deliverables. We have also analyzed data and showcased results that endure peer reviewed scrutiny (including New England Journal of Medicine). We are consultants that bring our own unique tools to ensure projects meet specs, budgets, and timetables. As scientists, system designers and patent-holding inventors, the technologies we have helped develop are based on AI / machine learning to perform data mining, predictive analytics, and task management to ensure higher compliance (a key area of expertise). Formerly, HRO required more and more checklists to be done -- and everyone to overachieve to get them all done. However, this is not cost-effective, nor practical. Compliance, our research has shown, is increased by preventing checklist / cognitive overload, which can be accomplished by micro-targeting quality assurance primarily on tasks at risk of failure.
