Savvy and innovative - I wear several interrelated hats. I'm an experienced Canadian immigration lawyer, career & business coach and strategist for internationally trained professionals & business people seeking opportunities in Canada to support their immigration goals. After 17 years of private practice I decided to get away from traditional private legal practice and focus on other professional opportunities that will allow me to work remotely from anywhere in the world. After years of taking the lead role in my business and legal practice I'm happy taking more of a behind the scenes roles helping a company or key people in a company that I can support thrive and end excel. I've very comfortable in the 'tech" world even though my formal education is not in a technology related field. My ideal new role(s) would be a remote position I can do from anywhere and in a technology company environment using my project management, social media research, market research, business intelligence research, social media content writing, blog writing, white paper writing, business proposal writing skills...well I I'm good at a lot of things and want to use my skills in as many ways as I can for the "right fit" position(s). Multi tasking multiple projects and deadlines comes easy to me. I am a natural problem solver but not shy to admit that if I don't know the answer to a client's question or luckily I'm tenacious enough to seek out the right connection that can connect the client to the right person to fulfill the client's needs through my vast global network of trusted colleagues. In my legal and consulting work, clients have traditionally drawn upon my excellent writing skills (business plans, white papers, policy papers, proposals, grant writing, resumes & cover letters), natural problem solving skills, quick thinking and extensive professional network, legal research, writing & consulting expertise to help them solve their problems. I'm also now in the process of producing online e-courses through Udemy, Thinkific, Zenler and Teachable to market towards potential international students, workers and permanent residents to be able to reach a wider audience of the knowledge I have accumulated over my 17+ years of practice and create passive flows of income that will allow me to do the kind of work I like and not necessarily the kind of work that is only driven by financial remuneration. I completed my Bachelor of Laws (LLB/JD) from the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998. I completed a Masters of Information (MI) at the University of Toronto's iSchool (2014) where I focused in areas of project management, business intelligence research, and social media research & open source research among other areas of information and data policy management issues. With my JD (law) and Masters degrees and capabilities in English, French, and Romanian, holding Canadian and EU passports, I can work in the EU or USA (beyond Canada).
