I am currently running a YouTube channel whereby we get 3.5 million views a month and in the process of starting 2 more.
I am now looking to try and make some good use of all those people watching the vids by starting a funding page of some sort which we can ask people to support.
There are a range of ways we can do this on each of our videos and we can also give 10% to the fund each month on what our YouTube income is.
What I am looking for help with is not setting up a page or anything online as that is what I am good at, but how I go about supporting something. I do not want to use an existing charitable organisation, I want to raise the funds and do the work ourselves.
Or, maybe we could use one if it is cheaper, but have a think after reading the below
So what I am looking for is the following:
1. Someone who can go right Charles, here are some communities in Africa for example who need 10 wells, a sanitary area and a playground (YouTube not making enough yet to build a school)!
2. I select an option, then you have to try work out if it is realistic to build a well and a playground there...for example our money income isn't good enough to ship a playground to the Sahara!
3. Once we have gathered the funds, we get into action on the budget specified, and we organise it all...while a camera films everything so later we can do a time-lapse.
4. Once the work is done, we fly over, and make a film of it and make people on YouTube realise that while they are watching videos, they are also creating all this for others and thanks for the support etc.
That's about it! No planning done what-so-ever yet, but figure it worth a shot with 3.5 million viewers!
Thanks and look forward to talking.
