I am looking for an experienced QA/Test engineer to help build a tool to simulate users for our web application so we can start assessing capacity. If the project goes well, there is an opportunity to build a longer-term relationship for ongoing QA automation.
For this project, you will be testing a ruby application that runs on Heroku.
Your script will emulate increasing additional numbers of users until we start to see system stress. Then, we will adjust, and test again. I do not expect initial tests to exceed a thousand concurrent users.
Please feel free to ask any questions you need to get a sense of the project. A well-qualified application will contain information on how to scope the project, which tools should be used, and an estimate of hours. I will not hold you to the estimate, I'm just looking for a loose sense of what you think it could take.
Show me you read this whole post by starting your response with "I love testing!". Applicants skipping this step will be checked last.
