I own and run www.localfriendsf.com. It gets the job done for now, but I am looking to expand to something much more robust. I am currently looking for quotes on how much this job would cost. My budget is flexible.
I recently traveled to Taiwan and found a site that has the exact functionality of what I am looking for in my next website. The site is called FRNCI - http://frnci.com/index.php
I am looking to create a site very similar to FRNCI, but for the United States, starting in San Francisco. I would want the flexibility to expand this to other cities as well.
I am currently looking for a ballpark estimate of what this site would cost. Once we have agreed to a price I am happy to provide wireframes and/or more detail on what I want the webisite to do.
To get a little better feel for what I am trying to do, there is a description of myself and my business below. I am looking to expand this to be more of a "marketplace" of people like me (aka localfriends). Please let me know if you have any questions!
"I have lived in SF for 5 years and I take pride in showing my friends and family around the city, and helping them have the best time possible while they are here!
After a few of my friends had visited me in San Francisco, and afterwards they thanked me for the unique experience they had while in town. I took so much joy in their appreciation for the city, I started LocalFriend to bring that experience to others. I now am able to show travelers a side of SF that they do not get to see on a tour bus. There's so much that SF has to offer, its a dense city with new things to try everyday. After living in this area for more than 4 years now, there are sights and sounds that I have discovered that most people will not be able to find on a week vacation here.
I am no stranger to new friends, and I am more than happy to grab a beer or a meal with people coming into town. I look forward to showing you why SF is one of the greatest cities in the world!"
