Hello everyone, hope you're all doing well on this fine day. I'm in the process of working with an editor already for the final touches on my novel, but I've recently been working on an entirely new beginning for it and would love to have a fresh pair of editing eyes on it to help tweak it and make sure everything flows nicely and there are no mistakes. I prefer to hire someone with some experience with editing novels/fiction, but it's not a must. I also prefer editors with a knack for weeding out unnecessary filler words. The part I need help with right now is only 670 words (out of the total 60,000), so it's obviously not a big project. As far as the story goes, it's basically a topsy turvey, twilight zoney marriage cautionary tale. The guys' marriage is falling apart, and on one particularly awful day he meets a strange new character, and things just get weirder from there with lots of twists. Originally it started out with him waking up in bed and wondering what he is doing with his life, which I know, is basically cliché'/snoozfest central I know. That's why I've changed it. Now it's just the narrator speaking matter-of-factly (it's written in first person, present tense) about how he met his wife and falling in love and appreciating the small things in life and all that great stuff. If this all sounds wonderful and intriguing to you and you'd love to help me, then I'd be thrilled to work with you. Also I'm always on the lookout for potential long term editors to work with as I try to wrap up three different novels I have written so far. And also because I will more than likely need someone to run through this entire book for me one last time. I look forward to hearing from you all.
