Design and monitor construction of an enterprise data warehouse, working with a team of engineers.Design and monitor construction of user-facing presentation tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports, Sharepoint 2013 PowerView & PowerPivot.
Design and monitor construction of OLAP or Symantic Layer based on business needs for advanced analytics
Design and monitor construction of Enterprise Transformation Language (ETL) processes.
Establish and implement standards and strategies for master data management, lifecycle, and data quality.
Explain and teach business intelligence and data warehouse concepts throughout the company.
Define best practices and standards for the data modeling process.
Creation and maintenance of the logical and physical data models for the production and Business Intelligence data warehouse and data marts.
Participate in data design walkthroughs to communicate data warehouse and Data Mart table designs to ETL developers.
Develop prototype views and reports of the data, and work with business users both internal and external to refine their requirements.
Demonstrate self-reliance in researching technical solutions and product functionality.
Continuously improve upon existing approaches by seeking opportunity to creatively transform current business practices into fresh alternative solutions.
Identify critical integration issues and develop corrective solutions.
Communicate with team members to assess progress of deliverables.
Maintenance and Administration of the database platforms.
Performance Tuning of existing data structures.
Administration and Monitoring of data protection needs as they relate to the database platforms and solutions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering.
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD).
Requires six (6) to ten (10) years’ experience as a Database Administrator or related field. Requires knowledge of SQLServer 2012 or above, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS.
Familiarity with MS BI Suites like Power BI, Sharepoint 2013 PowerPivot and PowerView. Hands on experience with data modeling, building queries, data warehouse, data marts, and cubes.
Experience with SharePoint Integration.
Familiarity with DWE best practices.
Requires experience in healthcare (e.g. claims, finance, authorizations, pharmacy).
Good presentation and communication skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Experience with high volume processing in near real-time data movement (>1 M transactions/day), EMR integration/data handling, working with remote teams and matrix environment, and predictive modeling.
Proven experience in logical and physical data modeling with experience of building data warehouse from ground-up.
Knowledge of addressing performance issues and involved in query tuning, indexing, data profiling, DMVs, DMFs, and other database related activities.
Expertise in full life cycle of business intelligence and big data.
Exposure to Big Data technologies - Hadoop, Elastic Search etc.
Hands-on experience in data visualization tools like Tableau, ClickView.
Exposure to predictive modeling and statistical tools like R, SAS Visual Analytics.
