We are a newly branded/start-up, Retained Executive Search Firm. Our Founder has 25+ years experience in this model. Our strength has been to provide Talent Acquisition and Executive Search Consulting to PE/VC groups for their portfolio companies. We have identified a micro-niche within this sector we wish to pursue. It involves a Retained Search-Business Intermediary hybrid. Best we can tell, there are only 6-8 firms (most are solo-practitioners) that work within this model.
We would like someone to produce a market analysis to assist in our upcoming strategy and go to market discussions. This will serve as the foundation for our business plan and for use with venture capital firms to raise capital.
Goal of Project Are:
• Define size, scope, pricing, contract structure, of market.
• Create PowerPoint Slides, which are effective at visually displaying the market opportunity at hand.
• Assist in identifying a "best practices" approach to sourcing proprietary opportunities and company valuations.
Our angle is that we will serve as a conduit for CEO candidates with capital to invest, expertise in their particular sector, an acquisition target(s) with a value-creating plan/opportunity, who wish to pursue a deal-centric career path with Private Equity groups in the Mid-Market space. The PEG then completes the acquisition, inserting the deal executive into the CEO role, pay us a Placement fee and an equity component-intermediary fee. The PEG's are also known to place these micro-niche practitioners on a monthly retainer to go out and source deal centric executive's and identifies for them.
This has the potential to become a longer term project.
