Hide wp-admin for logged in and logged out users (can exclude admin users).
We have tried multiple plugins. Some gave a 500 error. Some could not find the admin pages at all. We have also purchased "Hide My WP" plugin (https://codecanyon.net/item/hide-my-wp-amazing-security-plugin-for-wordpress/4177158) and it didnt work. Please mind that we have a subdomain installation with a multisite.
One plugin "IThemes Security" have successfully enabled us to hide the wp-login, and wp-admin, but only for logged out users.
We are looking for a solution that will be based on a widely-used, highly-rated, existing plugin (such as IThemes Security). Additional options will be considered.
- Administrator sets up a custom name for a new path instead of "wp-login", and "wp-admin", example /my-app/.
- A user types in their url bar "http://site.domain.com/wp-admin" or "http://site.domain.com/wp-login", and is redirected to a 404 page.
- A user types in their url bar "http://site.domain.com/my-app" and is redirected to the wordpress login page (including main site 'domain.com/my-app', and subdomain mu sites 'site.domain.com/my-app').
If you feel that you can successfully achieve the required with properly installing and configuring an existing plugin, we will pay for your time testing the solution on your end, and implementing it with us on our end.
If you have experience implementing such a solution on a multisite environment, please provide an example. This will help us filter your proposal from the rest.
* Coding and testing will be done on your end. Once the plugin is successfully implemented on your end, we will schedule a Skype screen share session, so you can instruct us on what files and changes to implement where.
Please test the solution on multiple browsers and cookie settings.
