The Lost in Reality project is building a platform to offer a way to discover and explore the world through geo-referenced stories, that is, stories that are associated with a place using a GPS coordinate, created by a social community of users. In familiar terms, LIR is similar to a blog where the items are located in space (not time) and aims to be more socially active by promoting user interaction such as in a social media platform. It is comprised of a web application to access the platform on any desktop and a mobile application to access and create stories on-the-go.
The stories are created by storytellers, writers, content creators, bloggers or users who write casually. At this early stage, we are inviting authors to enter the platform as content creators to start building a collection of stories and locations and engage with the first users. At the same time, we are experimenting with the types of stories, the creation flow and on strategies to build a sustainable user-based community of authors and creators.
This is an ongoing project and we will require more stories in the near future.
