I am building a custom related posts function to display related custom post types. These CPTs have a meta value of price. I have retuned the proper set of posts using WP_Query( $args ) wherein I have all the posts sorted by price descending. So I have the proper posts in an array. Now I need to select one post more expensive and two posts less expensive to be displayed as related posts. Of course if the current post is the most expensive I need 3 less expensive and conversely if the post is the least expensive I need the three more expensive... It would be OK to gather just the CPT post id, but preferably, I would like the id, permalink featured image, and post title - all in an array of three rows... I'm available for any questions or clarifications.
