I am looking for an expert in Flask/ to help troubleshoot an issue we are having with an app we are setting up. We are attempting to connect a Flask/ app to an iOS app coded in Swift and the emitted messages are not receiving responses from the server. Our localhost server installs work and send/receive socket responses but when working with our production server it is not working. The production server is on Amazon EC2 and we have tried many different approaches so we have a lot of documentation on our attempts and what has and hasn't worked. I get the sense it is something relatively small since it works fine locally (possibly a module or something similar not working correctly). My budget of $250 for some basic consulting. We are flexible if we uncover a larger problem once looking into it but really need to move quickly to at least expose the problem. We are looking for the best EXPERTS in this field and are willing to pay well if you can knock this out quickly. Please do not apply if you have not worked in this type of environment in the past. Thanks!

We are a bunch of software developers working on an ongoing project, and we need a little help with some AWS stuff that we're doing. This is the first of many tasks that I anticipate we'll be having, and hope to work with the same contractor for all of them. We prefer a contractor with experience in: MongoDB (as an administrator) - we are using a a 2x replicated, 3x sharded Mongo cluster and you must have experience with this sort of set up Other skills/experience for future work include AWS VPC, S3, EC2, DynamoDB, Route 54, AWS Lambda, CloudSearch, CloudFront Cognito, and SNS. Added bonus if you have experience writing code for Lambda (Java) in addition to administration and configuration experience and/or you have some DevOps experience. For this first task, we have our MongoDB cluster setup and running in a VPC with a NAT router according to this Amazon reference design: What we need to do is: 1. Make the MongoDB accessible from the public internet such that all the replication features are setup correctly and in the event of any instance failure, DB consumers will have no down time. Right now, the DB is only available inside the VPC... we'll move it back in the future, but for now we need the DB on the internet. 2. Install SSL and disable non-encrypted connections to the DB cluster

PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR ESTIMATE FOR THE FULL COST OF THE WORK Need to create some AWS instances for hosting Node JS applications. We would need to set up, at least, 3 environments. One of those environments will serve 2 applications, while the other two environments will serve just one. The environment serving 2 applications, will have 1 DEV and 1 PROD instance. The other 2 environments will have 1 DEV and 1 PROD instances, minimum, but will surely have 1 more (STAGING). All environment should be able to scale fast. Each application will work over Node JS and will have its own set of databases (not decided, yet, if MongoDB or MySQL). Ideally, we would like to setup a continuous integration environment for testing and deployment, using Docker containers and other tools. We are planning to use Redis as the cache layer. We will probably need to install SSL certificates too.

We have a EC2 instance (running windows server) and 2 RDS instances (running SQL Server) that are not currently in a VPC, and we would like to migrate them into one without breaking external connections and minimizing downtime. In addition, we would like to add an OpenVPN server that supports MFA (multi-factor authentication) to allow us to access the otherwise externally inaccessible RDS instances. We have a few complications to the scenario that we know about, and there are possibly others that we will discover as we proceed. Primarily, we have a pair of Elastic external IPs on our EC2 instance that need to move with the machine to the VPC, and we need to mitigate downtime so that we do not upset our existing customers. Secondarily, we hope this will prepare us to eventually move to a multi-AZ redundant system down the line. You will be required to sign an NDA and work first to build/document a proof of concept, then assist in the actual migration.
