I am looking for an experience Mechanical Engineer/3D Drafter to render a 3D drawing from a 2D sketch. The sketch is of a simple screw assembly as shown in the attached file. Please note that the side view of the sketch shows a hole that is located at the interior of the screw. Although the side view shows the hole going through the sidewall of the screw, the hole actually does not do that. The screw's sidewall is not breached in any way. The top view gives a clearer picture of this. You should have a background/degree in mechanical engineering and have a firm understanding of 3D design/modeling standards for engineering projects using software such as Pro E, Solidworks, ACAD, etc. Since you are the expert, I expect that you will know how much this job will cost for you to complete. Please don't ask me to estimate your price for you.

I'm looking for an engineer to develop a set of piecewise equations for computing the stress field around a shaped hole in an infinite plate. The hole shall take the form of compound ellipses, which intersect at a points of equal slope (see attachment). The analyst will assume that the stress field of each of the compound ellipses will behave independently from one another. Verification of equal stress state at the intersection of the ellipses is required. The assumption will be further validated with finite element modeling in future work. The stress field around the perimeter of the ellipse will be a function of theta and will include the following parameters: R = Ratio of A-to-B (0<R<inf) M = curvature at intersection, squareness (-inf<M<0) The stress field around an elliptical feature can be found from a reference such as Peterson's Stress Concentration Factors, or other locations on the internet (e.g. The developed equations will be used to optimize the length-to-width ratio and squareness of such a hole in a known biaxial stress field, using stress superposition in a fatigue-critical application. Hi, I need help with the design of a waterproof generator casing. Use case: the waterproof casing will be used as the hub structure of a vertical hydropower turbine. Blades will be fitted to the outside of the casing. Generator goes inside and shaft comes out through the bottom. Casing is put at a water depth of 3 meter and will be subject to Tnom=3000Nm with spikes of 5000Nm. Casing has to be made 100% waterproof for at least 10 years. Cost of manufacturing has to be estimated. Abrasive materials such as sand may be present in the water. Mechanical face seals or other have to be evaluated. Generator inside of this casing will be 300 mm in diameter and up to 1 meter high. That's all the info I can share at this moment. I need someone to create a waterproof assembly around the generator. This assembly needs to have a dynamic seal to waterproof a moving axle (RPM 100 to 200). Please give me an estimated plan of approach and time needed.
