We need a quick VBA app to sync the text box objects from multiple PDFs into a single PDF. Each PDF is exactly the same, with the exception of the text boxes. The app should ask for a directory to be used, and have a button on the Excel form to start the sync. The sync is a batch application, processing all of the files in the directory. The app does not need to go into subdirectories of the specified directory. When looking through the directory specified, each file ending with “_A” is the master which receives the updates. The same file names ending with “_B”, “_C”, etc. are to be synced with “_A”. For example, if the directory contains A123_A.pdf, A123_B.pdf, and A123_E, the VBA script should pull the text boxes (contents and x/y location) from _B and _E, and place them in _A. If the text box with the same contents already exists in the _A file at those x/y coordinates, then do not duplicate the text box. The VBA script should be able to be run repeatedly, without creating duplicate text boxes in the _A file. Upon completion of this assignment we have up to two other augmentations to the program to make, and will offer them to the selected developer first.
