Hello, I'm looking for a writer that can assist me with putting together various handbooks and templates to be used by our company. We work in the manufacturing of cosmetics. I'm extremely busy but this is something that needs to be done and I've put it off for much too long. I'm looking for someone business savvy enough to be able to cover all bases and make any necessary recommendations to me. I'd like to be able to speak with someone candidly when something requires clarification and for the writer to quickly take the ball and run with it. I don't want to re-invent the wheel wherever possible (there are plenty of templates and samples available to fill in the standard "fluff" of these types of handbooks). If it's possible to use something like an existing template, I'd gladly purchase it so that we can modify it to suit our needs. Beyond the standard employee handbook, we'll also need more specific templates / manuals for handling different types of jobs. For example: producing products, taking inventory properly, cleaning up, receiving new materials and recording them properly, performing maintenance on equipment, etc. It's quite annoying to have to re-train employees on certain things or remind them that they need to clean up after themselves, etc. We're going to be moving into a new facility in December and I'm viewing this as an opportunity to clarify everything as much as possible, raise our standards, and generate some accountability. Right now, because nothing is "defined" that we can reference, people tend to get sloppy and "forget" a lot of things or get comfortable showing up late with tons of excuses because we don't have any formal penalties or processes in place for writing them up (another thing we can work on). Please keep in mind the writing has to be thorough but easy to read. The ability to translate the finished manuals into well-formed (i.e., not Google Translate) Spanish is a bonus. It's important that you know how to format these types of books and use / edit photos and images (we can provide them) to make things easy to follow. We are a company with offices in China, Philippines and America. We help our clients get products manufactured in China and shipped to their destination.
