I am in need of a highly analytical person with strong Google Analytics and general web traffic analysis experience. You would be asked to do the following types of tasks for various websites in various industries and business models (lead gen, ecommerce, etc). 1) For each site, get an understanding of the site, the business, it's current traffic sources and conversion metrics. 2) Determine which key metrics are most relevant to the site & business, and set up reports that monitor important KPIs. This includes Goal/Conversion tracking also. 3) On a regular basis you will be asked to review the reports and metrics for each site, identifying and investigating any issues, providing interesting and actionable insights, suggesting areas that may need attention in some way, etc. 4) From time to time there would also be "ad-hoc" analysis projects where a specific issue needs to be investigated.
